1. I wanted a good center and Bogut looks promising. 2. Everybody is predicting Hedo's stats to drop... I'm a magic fan so not so sure about this but we will see. 3. Kobe Bryant has a lots of good players on his team this year... I'm thinking that his stats are going to drop like KG.
-1. Tracy Mcgrady is having problems...
Pretty much I wanted Bogut and this is how I got him.
You think this is a bad idea?

Yeah, i was thinking that too, should have shopped Kobe around. Bogut is nice and TMac is a risky top 20ish guy if healthy. Kobe isn't going to get any better than he is now and will play all season with a messed up hand but is still a top 3 player if he can play at least 70 plus games. Hedo is just icing on the cake really.

Actually We trust each other's criteria when it comes to trades.
I don't find it weird, but who knows.
What really gets me confused is that you (kickingrocks) have Bogut on your team....and there aren't 2 centers named Andrew Bogut...
Oh, on a closer look, this trade is from OCT 2008!!!!! before LAST season!!!
I don't get it...

Heh... yah this one caused a lot of stir when it went down.
For the record we do have a veto system for trades. If you see any trade or transaction that you feel is broken...not just unbalanced... we all have the right to make bad trades... I mean truly lopsided and someone is being taken advantage off, then send a protest message to 4ptplay and/or me (luxury tax) and if 10 people send in a veto thats majority rules (for the math, 2 people involved in trade both were willing to accept it at the time, leaving 18 other gm's to make the veto call... 9 would only be half, so we want 10 veto's for majority.)
This includes if you get cold feet over a trade... if you can drum up enough support to vote it down, good for you... but frankly, it's not likely to happen based on past experience.
As there can always be weird or unforeseen situations, 4pt and I reserve the right to veto a transaction without the majority vote if circumstances warrant. For example, in a previous season, a rookie gm accepted a trade by accident, and after much discussion it was decided to allow the trade to be rescinded due to the gm's inexperience with the yahoo interface... this was allowed once and only once. And as I am posting this example here, I'd like to make it explicitly clear, this is no longer a valid excuse. That said, None of us can foresee every possible thing that could legitimately go wrong in a transaction, so we have to reserve the type of executive power to keep the league running smoothly.
Now that that's been said, I also want to make it very clear that 4pt and I are always open to suggestions that would improve everyone's experience of the league. So if you see something you don't agree with, definitely send either of us a message about it.
I think that covers vetos, but if anyone notices anything I may have overlooked, drop me a line.

I think our league on Y! is a league votes system, right? In which case trades made on the site during the season can be vetoed with 1/3 vote against. Just relaying information here

Actually, the way I currently have the league set up is veto is done through me. This was done originally by the previous Commissioner and I continued it because it seemed to work. Basically it allows for quicker vetoes than the automated system which waits until the trade review period is over to count vetoes, whereas if I get enough vetoes on the first day I can veto the trade pretty much immediately.
As far as how many vetoes the Yahoo automated system requires, I'll have to look into that. Ideally I'd prefer to use whatever they use to keep things standardized. Also I'll have to look into whether the Veto button has any use at all under a commissioner run veto setting.
As soon as the yahoo league allows league set-up I'll check into this and if changes are needed/requested I'll put the options up to a vote (unless the majority don't really care or see this as an issue). Otherwise, I'll post the way Vetoes will work as soon as I find out for sure about the above issues.

This trade was before TMac's career was officially tanking and Bogut still had a lot of upside combined with Hedo being overrated and Kobe heading out of his prime so to speak. I didn't like the trade from the beginning, but if TMac bounced back and Bogut broke out then it would have been even... basically everything happened the wrong way and made this trade horrible in hindsight.
