The lockout has obviously diminished interest in continued participation within our group from last year. We only have 10 people who have posted their teams and will need a fast and furious recruiting session to get new GMs for the other teams.
If anybody knows someone that is interested, give them the board URL to have a quick look around and have them email me wiitigo@hotmail.com
We will work on getting available rosters up and posted ASAP so new GMs can begin choosing teams.

Ok, time until opening night is quickly getting short. for the league to continue as is, we need something like 9 new GMs and the sooner the better.
We can't consider drafting until those GM spots are filled. As it is if we are unable to do some sort of live or semi-live draft it means we'll likely only get 2 of the normal 6 rounds in.
Also the longer it takes us to fill those GM spots the more likely it is we'll have to do the draft in a more undesirable format like lists.
A few GM's have suggested that rebooting the league and resetting the competitive balance might make it easier for new GMs to come in. I would be willing to consider this and put it to a vote... but not this late in the off-season.
If people think that a reboot is desirable we can talk about it. I already have some ideas how to reward GMs for their standing if such a reboot were to occur, so that there would still be a reason for competing. If more of you feel that a reboot would make things easier please let me know. But as I said, I think it may be too late in the off season for this discussion.
As another option, if we are unable to fill the remaining GM spots before the tip off, I would also consider going forward for 1 year with a 12 team league and then rebooting to 20 teams next year. This would be an option of last resort only.
We kind of got stuck behind the eight-ball with the NBA lock-out and how little time the resolution leaves us with. But we need some sort of schedule if we're going to get everything sorted before the season starts (or even before the new year). So if we don't have any indication we're going to be able to fill the remaining GM spots before next weekend (say December 18th) then we'll have to consider alternatives to business as usual.
Any comments or suggestions by anyone are greatly appreciated.

I don't understand why a reboot won't work. We can all pick one day to draft our teams. I'm down for either, even though a reboot would be beneficial for myself.

It's not that a reboot won't work, it's just that I'm raising it as a possible solution with very little time for everyone to add their 2 cents on it.
For the record it would be easy enough to do a reboot, it's just I'm not really sure how many of you would support it. Nor am I entirely sure it's necessary.
Like I said, 1 or 2 GMs had raised the possibility to me and I floated it out there as an option. It's just I would have rather addressed it earlier and gotten a consensus on it, that's all.
Also as for drafting in a reboot, we can use the Yahoo draft tool and just set your lists. The way I would compensate the guys who were at the top of the league last year is to set the draft priority the same as the standings or perhaps allow the GMs to select their draft priority based on the standings.
Anyways... Thanks for making it known that you support a redraft. Anyone else that wants to chime in on the matter please do so.
