I gotta grab Xavier Henry here... kinda surprised he is still available even though he doesn't have a contract yet. If Henry had been drafted by a team that was thin at SG or even if Memphis weren't being such dikks, I could have seen him going a lot earlier in our draft. He's one of those guys that we could be looking back at in a couple a years and going "how'd he drop so far in the draft?". And I mean the NBA draft ...not ours. As it is tho, he could turn out to be a great pick even for this season if he and Memphis can't come to an agreement and they end up trading him. If he signs in Memphis, I wouldn't be expecting much from him, at least until major changes are made there. L-Tax

L-Tax Yeah, I was close to jumping on him with the 1.18 pick, but he is in such an uncertain situation, he could be invisible this year. But I do agree, he is a great talent, we'll see if he gets a chance to show it.

Obviously the Mayo-at-PG experiment didnt work out too well, so that hurts Henry's chances at big mins. Still tho, grabbing him there based on skills and potential down the road is solid. Memphis will have to make some changes to fit him in for the future, because otherwise he could have the career trajectory of someone like Julian Wright.
I was waffling back and forth with my pick this round, but ultimately felt like Haywood was both a good value at this point and a good fit for my team. Let's hope all that talk about Tyson improving his game and getting healthy again are just BS.

Not a bad comparison to Wright at first glance, but really Wright never had a position, he didn't develop any skills that would define what his role would be and he bounced around positions in NO and never fit in. Henry is pretty much a big SG, he should have a clear set of skills he is working on and know what is going to be asked of him in the future. Should make the development path much smoother IMO. Still don't know where he is going to be playing. And Chandler healthy and working on his game... LOL, good one.

yeah i would say talking about undrafted people should be avoided...... 2 reasons for that usually... If other GM's haven't done their homework it can sometimes reveal info they otherwise wouldn't have known, and it can make other GMs aware of players they may not have heard about. Neither may seem like a big deal, but it encourages GMs to do their own research. I actually provide a ton of info by posting the player stats from last year and the O-Rankings for this year, so it may not be as big as an issue here, but it's still good etiquette. L-Tax

L-Tax i dont even like that you name the next five on the gerneralted list...... i dont think that is neccessary. Strictly speaking it's not necessary at all. It has always been done as a courtesy. I don't really put much stock in the O-rankings anyways, so I never saw it as a big issue. If you're really dead set against it, start up a post and present your case the other GMs. If you can get 9 other people to agree that they don't want to see the next 5 O-ranked Players on the draft page, we won't put them in next year. -L-Tax

not draft related
But what are the feeling about moving the playoffs to week earlier?
A lot of players sit in the last week of the season to rest up and getting to the finals then having your players not play really sucks.
Moving the playoffs to a week earlier doesnt solve the problem 100% but it does help alot
*Edit: Started Poll thread in the General Board to address this - L-Tax
