Ok after reviewing last year's draft and seeing that for the most part everyone wants to keep the 6 round draft format, I've decided to set the following deadlines.
Have your 8 Keepers named by August 21st.
The draft starts immediately after everyone's keepers have been finalized, so if there are no delay's then the tentative start to the draft would be 12:01am on the 22nd of August.
We should aim to keep a schedule of 1 week per round of the draft, which should have us done with a couple of weeks to spare prior to tip off.
These dates would allow us to start a full 2 weeks earlier than last year. While we finished on time last year I know there was some concern over how close we were to tip off when we finished. If we can stick to the 1 week per round schedule we should be finished the draft wit a good 2 to 3 weeks between end of draft and tip off, which could be used for more trading and roster fixing.
Please comment on this tentative schedule below, if you have any issues with it or just want to throw your 2 cents in. I'll finalize and make these dates official by the 15th of August. That should give everyone a chance to voice any issues if they have any. These dates can be changed, but we really have only a week or 2 leeway, so we'd need a very good reason to change them.
