Bluefox trades
Delonte West, Tayshaun Prince, 1.06
for Tian's
Yao, 3.18, Lou Williams
Big fan of Louis Williams coming into this season now that Andre Miller's gone and Yao's status is up in the air. This trade is a huge "what ifs" trade to me. Risk/reward type of deal.

I confirm! I like this one. I considered myself done with trading since I didn't plan to trade my 1st pick and all I would like to have is a star. With this one, I did both things I like Lou's chances this year, and I couldn't get a guy like Yao if he was fully recovered. I gamble with 2 guys that could pay me off big time or bury my team even more. I was in doubt between keeping Hughes or West, but Lou is an upgrade for both (I hope). I was dissapointed with Prince last season, he could turn out to be a top SF like he was before, but I could also risk myself to have another bust, so I got more value from him now than I could have got in last season. the picks even everything, despite not wanting to trade my 1st, I really didn't have a plan for it and usually I screw it up, so I got more value for it, and a 58th pick fits better to my draft plan. I think we both got a great benefit from this trade.

This trade will be impossible to rate until we see what happens with Yao, but he is getting older now.
I would say that Tian wins this trade in the short and long term though unless Williams ends up being a beast.

If his injury is not as bad as it was tought in the beginning most probabily) and he can be healthy again, he has at least 4/5 more seasons of solid productions.

Actually, what made me go for the trade is that the Chinese basketball association said that "they wouldn't risk to play him now". I knew that it wasn't that bad, and he could return at some point. I hope he plays next season, if the Rockets are in the run for the playoffs, he might play a few games to get in shape for the playoffs. I hope everything turns out well and is not just crap to keep high the hopes on him...
